The sanctuaries of the Transfiguration of the Saviour Solovki stavropegial monastery – the cross of Venerable Sabbatius and icons of Venerable Zosimas, Sabbatius and German of Solovki with particles of the holy relics– arrived at the gates of the St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral Church in Nizhny Novgorod since January 27, 2013.
The sanctuaries were located for veneration at the cathedral church. The moliebens are served before the sanctuaries on a day-to-day basis from 12 a.m. until 3 p.m. The St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral was open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.
During this period, the exhibition “Solovki, Calvary (Golgotha) and the Resurrection. The heritage of Solovki in the future, present and past”, dedicated to the tragic history of the Solovki cloister is open on the basement level of the Cathedral. The exhibition will be open until February 11, 2013. Admission free.
